First Gmen Of 2023

Being able to trade online is the greatest. With my finances not great, trading is my go to.

My latest trade though was actually in person. This time it was with my father who recently busted some Score and set his Giants aside for me.

These mark my first 2023 Giants.

Big year coming up for Kayvon!

Hodgins looked good against the Panthers. Could pick up where he left off.

This guy has made some plays in preseason and in training camp. Hope he stays on the team somehow.

This guy made a drop against the Panthers then made up for it on the next play with a completely wide open 33 yard touchdown grab. Pretty excited what he can bring.

Well that does it for my first 2023 Giants. I still need more from Score, all from Legacy and probably from any other product coming up knowing I won’t be buying much.

My First Hyatt Giant!

It's not an autograph, but it's my first Jalin Hyatt featured in Giants blue. I am very excited about this addition but aiming for an autograph next or a real rookie featuring him in a Giants uniform since Score didn't have him in one this year. I am not sure about Prestige yet. I am counting down until there are more Giant releases with him in it.

Kerry's Cardboard:1999 Donruss Preferred Hard Hats

 It's always a good day when a new Kerry Collins card arrives in the mail.

Today I am showing off a 1999 Donruss Preferred Hard Hat.

These inserts fell randomly in packs and feature a player in front of their team logo on acetate. Simple, but superb design. I also like the fact Collins is featured in a Giants uni.

Each of these cards were numbered to 3000.

There were 30 overall in the set to collect and it's very tempting to chase it but with so many chases already, I will probably just be happy with Kerry.

As The Season Draws Near....

 As football season finally is coming, I get more amped about adding new Giants cards to my collection.

Like this NEW Rueben Randle Bowman Chrome Blue refractor.

 

Or my first Hodgins Giants autograph. I do have other Hodgins autograph cards, but this is my first Giants one. He only has two Giants autographs that I am aware of. This one and a Panini Instant playoff card from last year. I really like him as a player so hoping he can step it up again like last year and hopefully gets some playing time with a somewhat loaded Giants WR core.

 

And other than Saquon, this guy will be the main reason the Giants offense will thrive if it does. He is such a massive weapon for Daniel Jones and they have been dangerous so far in camp. Hopefully that translates to the season as well.

Eli's Cardboard: 2014 Prizm Red,White, Blue

There is a guy on Twitter whose collection of Eli Prizms I envy. He has runs of every year of Prizm Eli has been in and it looks incredible.

So, I decided that I needed to do something similar to that without chasing the higher end stuff.

This parallel is one of my favorites of Prizm when it comes to getting NY Giants ones. Yes, I like the blues, but I really like the red, white and blue team match.

Sometime I will have to gather all of my Eli Prizms and see what they all look like together.

In the meantime, comment below on someone's collection you envy or thoughts on my card.

All Out

 This upcoming season, Daniel Jones will need to go ALL OUT if the Giants are going to make the playoffs again.

Jones got paid big time this offseason despite many skeptics on him, but I think it was well earned and maybe a bargain deal in the end for the Giants compared to other recent QB's who just got paid.

Remember these words in a few months once football season is underway and criticize me then.

I have always been a fan of Danny Dimes since the Giants drafted him and have always rooted him on. I think the struggles come from not having the right pieces around him nor having the right coaching staff. This year, the Giants loaded up on offense by locking in on some WR's, making sure Saquon stays and then adding a couple pieces to the oline. They also kept all coaches in place and the same system. There are no excuses left.

Let's go ALL OUT Daniel.

Back of the card talks about his game against the Jags last year. I don't quite remember how he played, but I do remember the ending of that game where the Giants barely held on.
