The hobby generosity I have seen across blogs and Twitter is amazing.
The smiles that have been spread by a simple pay-it-forward by a piece of cardboard during these trying times is viewing something like no other. It just warms you up on the inside and makes you just want to jump on in and join in as well.
Last week, I was actually involved in one but on the receiving end of one.
Someone posted a Tiki Barber autograph for sale that was numbered to 10 and I was tagged in a post to buy it since I didn't have a Tiki auto. Of course, my hobby funds are never either there or available when I need them, so I had to pass even with the buyer knocking down the price because I was a Giants fan.
That's when I watched a RAK unfold before my eyes.
My buddy Brent (@Brent3323) joined forces with @nolesallday and bought me the card. And I wasn't even following @nolesallday or had any interaction with him. That's pretty amazing to see and I even may had shed a tear.
The card arrived yesterday and is even more pretty in person. Gold and shiny. I also really like Tiki's signature, glad to see someone take time with their autograph.
Back of card that shows its numbered to 10.
I am still stunned by the generosity shown by Brent, @nolesallday and the seller @druber83 for knocking the price down. Thank you so much fellas. This card will always have a special place in my heart and not because it's my first Tiki autograph.
