My Kayvon Collection

With the 5th pick of the 2022 NFL Draft...the NY Giants select...Kayvon Thibodeaux, Oregon.

Draft night this year was really exciting if you were a Giants fan. We were able to draft two big studs in the first round along with some other fun pieces in the other rounds. Hopefully most of these guys pan out because this team needs them to.

The most important piece is Kayvon to me. This defense has lacked a pass rushing fiend since the Super Bowl winning years.

Fingers crossed he can stay healthy after his preseason injury and be all the hype the draft experts said he would be.

Here is my collection so far of him. Most of these have come via trading,

And my first and only auto. Gotta thank my buddy @StephenJFurlong for trading it to me.

I hope to add an NFL autograph of him at some point in Giants uni.

Star Signs Of Kenny G

When I found out the Giants had signed former Lions standout young receiver Kenny Golladay, I was beyond ecstatic especially after watching his highlights. 

The Giants had finally found their number one Wideout!! It's been so long since the team had a go-to guy!

Then he hit the field.

Drops, not being able to get open, a couple of games out with injuries and only 521 yards and no touchdowns to show made that signing look really bad. Especially for the money invested. That's as bad of an investment as Enron was.

I look back on last year and can't fully blame Kenny G. The Giants were without their starting QB for many weeks and had guys such as Mike Glennon and Jake Fromm throwing to him. (shivers from those nightmares)

So, let's give him this year. See if he can prove why the team thought so highly of him when they signed him. The preseason hasn't been great so far for him, but I am hopeful he will turn things around for the season itself.

I picked up a ton of Golladay cards before last season with all of my hype built in but didn't really add a lot of cards featuring him in Big Blue. Especially an autograph.

Well, that changed recently when I found a cheap one on eBay. Cheap cards happen when you don't catch any touchdowns.

I like the look of this one a lot. Kenny needs some help with his autograph however.

Single Card Mail Day:2015 Topps Fire Forces Of Nature Eli Manning

Occasionally, a NY Giants mail day isn't a loaded mail day, sometimes those mail day enter my mailbox as one-card mail days which is where we begin this new series.

You ever have those moments when you are searching for one card, but it leads you to another. Eli Manning card #826 is that case. I can't quite remember what I was looking for on eBay, but today's card popped up as a suggestion and I had to have it.

2015 Topps Fire included this well-designed insert, Forces Of Nature, two-per hobby box. I hadn't ever seen it before, but it didn't take me very long to chase it down.

There actually were only a couple listings of this card on eBay. So, when I watched it, the seller actually gave me a discount and I pounced for the measly $4.
