The Blogger National 2025

The last three years I have posted a Blogger National for those of us who can't enjoy the experience of actually being at the The National Sport Collectors Convention. That way we can still connect with one another without spending the big bucks to do so. Though I would love to sit down, have a cup of coffee and talk cards with you.

I am right on time with posting this year's Blogger National, so I am hoping you all will participate in this blog bat-around.

What is the Blogger National? Well, it's a blog-bat-around where you just take one post (or multiple if you so choose) in the next few days and dedicate it to showing off your coolest cards or your most favorite cards or a recent mail day you hadn't posted yet using the blog post title, The Blogger National 2025.

I want you to try to find the cards that are show worthy to you. You know, the dazzling cards that would attract all of the people over to your table (blog).

For example, I am showing the other cards in my trade with @90sNicheFBcard. The other cards I showed off in a post HERE on Cards Over Coffee.

Come check out my NY Giants table,

Some really nice, a couple on-card autographs of  Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz. He will go down as one of my favorite WR's. If the injury bug hadn't hit him, he may have been a legend.

They don't make cards like they used to. I believe I have stated this before... many times. This includes autograph cards.

Numbered LT.

Yes, the amount of Prizm parallels is absurd, but the look cool so I am good with it.

Malik is about to ball out this year with an actual QB. He may have a season reminiscent to Odell if not better.

A couple nice die-cut shiny! Gray won't be a Giant much longer, but Banks has a chance still. He has struggled in camp so far, so hopefully he has time to turn it around.

If they do this jersey card again this year, obviously Abdul Carter would be on it. Hopefully Kayvon will do more this year. Will he ever be LT? Probably not. But, he can try to be like other Giant legends.

Tommy Devito was the man for a while in NY, now he is 4th on the depth chart and most likely will not make the team. Practice squad maybe or will some other team claim him. Time will tell. But, it was a fun ride while it was there.

I was a bit surprised when Sterling came out of retirement to play for Tampa Bay. I thought he would end his career as a Giant. It was great to see him in uniform again and play at a decent level, but he will always be a Giant to me.

If you thought this alone was a great trade, now, here comes the onslaught of Eli's.
This parallel is /199

I did have this one, but its sharp and team color, so I don't mind having two.

Eli on Eagles colors is okay here. Looks sharp and he always beat on them.

This...this card was my favorite of the entire trade. Super Bowl. Game Worn. Eli. Champions.

Thanks again for the trade Bryan!

I am hopeful many of you will join in on this. Usually my Blog-Bat-Arounds go nowhere but maybe this one will catch your attention. Last year was no to very little turnout but I am trying again!

And for those of you who read this and don't have a blog, feel free to post your cards on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Bluesky, YouTube,) and use the hashtag (and tag me if you want), #TheBloggerNational2025. I will be on the lookout for that hashtag on all social media platforms. Well, except TikTok. I haven't joined that at all yet and don't plan to.

Hope everyone has a great time with this, and you can leave your blog link in comments so I can read it as well!

Latest Adds From Shane!

My latest trade with my buddy Shane from Cheap Wax Wednesday left me with some new Giants cards to enjoy.

Like this new Kerry Collins relic.

Or this super sweet Quad relic featuring Ike, Brown, Montgomery and the newly acquired Collins at the time. Jerseys said they are authentic..but from who and what?

I love oddball relics, this is an authentic 6 cent stamp....oh and there is a jersey swatch there to, I guess.

For some reason or another, I don't seek out Tiki Barber cards. It's not that I wasn't a fan, but guess I wasn't a big enough of a fan to chase his stuff. However, when he chases me I don't turn them down like this patch card.

Speaking of patch cards, game worn one right here of Ike. We never see this anymore.

And finally, a dual relic of Ron Dayne from his college jersey and pro jersey. I forgot to look before I posted this if these were actually game worn or not.

Thanks goes out to my buddy Shane for the trade again. Looking forward to our next!

Monday Morning Shines

I have been putting myself out there more for trading since the pandemic. It's an adjustment from the change of the overall hobby landscape for myself. Without trading, I won't be seeing many cards make their way to my mailbox.

The results of putting myself out there more has been very beneficial for my collection as I have added some cool cards I didn't have before.

One of my recent trades was made with @stevenweeks1217. Not only did it haul me in some NEW Kerry Collins, some set needs and some fun 90's inserts, but he also had a few Giants I needed for my collection. You can see the rest of my goodies on Twitter I hauled in this trade.

I plan on bringing back the Kerry Collins Cardboard segment back at some point and it will be on here breaking down my newest finds. I will do Giants uniform only though to stay TRUE BLUE on here.

Anyways, let's move onto my small haul of Giants from this trade.

I don't remember having this Skybox Premium Ron Dayne as I don't have a lot of Dayne. I was on hobby hiatus in 2000. What a terrible time to have taken off to with Brady in the mix!

The next card is this 2008 Topps Chrome rookie refractor of Mario Manningham. I still to this day am amazed by Eli's throw and Manningham's catch in Super Bowl 46. If you haven't seen that one, do yourself a favor and head to YouTube.

The final card is stunning, there is nothing like these 1994 Finest refractors. Today's refractors don't come close. I had the base Meggett but not the refractor until now.

And in the package was this surprise tattoo,

I will use this on my binder cover, but unpeeled.

Thanks again to Steven for the trade, I hope we can do this again.

Thoughts on my mail day welcomed in comments!
