Given A Heads Up

Being the last post of the year, I wanted to make it a good card to end with.

A buddy of mine on Twitter owns a copy of today's card and knew that I had wanted one for myself, so he had been keeping an eye out for cheaper ones not listed on eBay.

When a copy popped up recently, he sent me a link the link to eBay and I spent a week watching it. I had saved my final $10 on a gift card to eBay and I was hoping it was going to be less than that.

The week went by and I put my bid in....and landed the card for ,99 which is cool for a RARE CASE HIT!!

This is a 2015 Topps Presidential Celebrations card of Coach Tom Coughlin alongside President George Bush. These 14 cards features Super Bowl winning coaches at the White House.

The back just gives the details of the day.

I noticed when looking up the checklist that the Giants have a second card for Super Bowl 46 with President Obama that I will definitely need to find.

Thanks again to my buddy Chris for the heads up on this one.

Thoughts on this card welcomed in comments!

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

Rodney's Cardboard:1994 NFL Christmas Promo Card

First off, just wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas! Hope you find all of that cardboard you have been seeking under your tree.

Secondly, it has been WAY TOO LONG since I have done a Rodney's Cardboard post that we are due. So let's get to it.

Today's card I wasn't technically sure if I should consider a Rodney card or not.

It features mainly Santa but Santa stacking cards from 1994 Fleer.

However, upon closer inspection...one of those cards he was stacking on the bottom row happens to be Rodney's from 1994 Fleer.

And there you have it.
The back of the card is just listing off which products were included in the 1994 Christmas promo set.

Being someone who also collects Santa/Christmas cards this was a unique add that combines both PC's.

So, what do you think...should this be a Rodney card or not? Also, do you spot any other cards in the stack?

Eli's Cardboard: 2016 Panini Royal Football

Today's Eli Manning card features two of the greatest to ever play the quarterback position.....and they are brothers to boot!

There is no denying that the Manning brothers are royalty and a national treasure both on and off the field. Their personalities together and apart make them a dynamic duo.

I have a few Eli and Peyton cards in my Eli collection.

A dream some day is to get a dual autograph of them, and an even bigger dream would be a triple autograph featuring their father on it as well.

Maybe some day...if I win the lottery.

Thoughts on Peyton and Eli's personalities off the field welcomed in comments.

The Latest Eli's

I have been on an Eli buying rampage recently.

Any card that features Eli, catches my eye and fits into my very small budget, I will grab it.

Like this Eli that features the 1995 Finest design. I really like these. I have three I believe out of the rainbow...which I am not chasing.

This NFL Legends Rookie was under $5. Steal!

I usually only chase plain relic cards if they have an interesting design, like this one.

And this relic. Panini doesn't do it like this anymore.

Also grabbed this trio for under $6 as well.

My favorite relic pickup recently was this /50 Sunday Showdown dual patch card. Yes, these are patch swatches.

The next relic was like $3 for this Ultra Stars. It's plain all around, but for the price I had to snag it.

And the final card, another rookie card under $2.

In comments today, let me know your favorite card of the group today and if you buy relic cards for your PC player.

Caps Off To You

I like autographs in my Giants collection and all, but when I can find a really cool relic addition, that sometimes is even better.

Today's card I landed for less than $10 and found it worth every dollar.

A cool swatch of Andre Williams draft day hat which may now be the center of my Andre Williams PC.

Let me know in comments if sometimes a relic card catches your attention more than an autograph one.

Eli's Cardboard:2022 Prestige Any Given Sunday Holofoil Xtra Points /25

Today's latest Eli addition is pretty obvious on why I added it.

It features the GOAT of all time Super Bowls in Super Bowl 42.

I have said this so many times on here and I will beat that drum again. I will continue to add as many new Giants Super Bowl cards as I can from Super Bowl 42 and Super Bowl 46.

Those games are just that important to me.

I had considered at one point chasing the rainbow of today's card with this one and the base version done, until something went wrong with the 1/1 that I came so close to owning. More on that another time.

Thoughts on today's card welcomed in comments.

Brent's Former Giants

Once A Giant, Always a Giant is the saying for us NY fans.

And it's one I take to heart.
Even if it's a player who may had faked injuries or didn't want to play for the team.

Or a player that had so much potential, but could never quite put it all together.

Or a player that really struggled blocking and didn't even seem to exist on the field.

They are still Giants in my heart and my collection.

Which is why I pulled off a quick trade with my buddy @Brent3323 to land these new ones who doesn't hold onto former Giants.

Thanks again to Brent for these. They fit perfectly into my collection.

Thoughts on the latest adds or the players featured is welcomed in comments.

Huddle Up

There was only one insert I was lacking from 2022 Score football for the Giants and that one was Huddle Up.

For some reason I had zero success in pulling one myself.

It's a card I really liked since it featured the entire Giants offense in a huddle.
Luckily for me, I was able to find someone who had an extra for trade. I was pretty stoked.

But then I saw a blue team color matched parallel for less than $2 and I had to have that too. The cool thing about this one other than the team color match is that the card is numbered 3/100 and there is a #3 in the huddle.

The one and only Sterling Shepard.

Let me know your thoughts on today's cards and if you like collecting team cards like this.

Single Card Mail Day:2005 Bowman Coaching Prospects Autograph Tim Lewis

Tim Lewis was a former 1st round draft pick in 1983 NFL Draft who made it only three seasons in the league before getting into the coaching world.

One of his many coaching stops was for the NY Giants as their defensive coordinator from 2004 to 2006 in which he did a fairly decent job with the unit at the time. Many thought he was Head Coaching material but never got the chance...in the NFL at least.

He did get his one head coach opportunity which was for the Birmingham Iron who played in the AAF League that only lasted one year.

I grabbed this autograph for less than $!0 as a unique addition to my Giants PC. It is the first card I have of a non-head coach autograph.

Thoughts on my latest card welcomed in comments.

Show Me The Way: 1998 Ultra Platinum Medallion

It has been quite some time since I posted a new Charles Way card. It's mainly because I haven't added any as my PC focus has been on other NY Giants players, hence all of the Eli Manning cards I have been posting.

But, when I see a new and fairly tough Way card to get, I add it.

Today's card ranks up there as one of the toughest Ways I have added to date.

I never once pulled one of these in packs of Ultra despite all of the packs I opened. There are no odds on pulling these either which is what makes them so tough to find.

There are also only 98 of these to find. Which makes them extremely rare.

Luckily my friend Shane from Cheap Wax Wednesday fame found this one for me to add.  Thanks Shane!

Thoughts on today's card and if you own any Platinum Medallions is welcomed in comments.
