Single Card Mail Day:2025 Mosaic Silver Cam Skattebo

It's crazy to think that this is my first post on here of the New Year.

Time has gotten away from me.

I have missed so much on posting. The actual excitement around the Giants team this year with the hiring of John Harbaugh. The new free agent acquisitions. The building of a new culture in what feels might finally be the turnaround year for this team and I haven't posted anything.

That changes today!

Time to start posting on here again. It won't be daily, but there will be some new posts coming up.

Today I am showing off one of my newest pickups from the 2025 draft class.

A 2025 Mosaic Silver parallel of Cam Skattebo. I feel Mosaic doesn't get the credit it deserves, it's just too bad this is the last year of it before Topps takes over football.

I don't have much in terms of cards for Cam, probably under ten total, which is sad as he was a lot of fun to watch last year up until his season ending injury. But, this newest addition is by far my favorite thus far.

I am hoping when he hits the field this fall, he will be back at 100% and tearing up and destroying defenses again.

In the meantime, I plan to add more cards of him and hopefully some day I will be able to add an autographed card. He is needed for the overall Giants autograph collection too.

Let me know how your teams offseason has been so far in comments!

Single Card Mail Day:2024 Panini Contenders Rookie Ticket Autograph Darius Muasau

We are back with a third post in as many days!

Right now it's just playing catch up from summer additions to the collection.

Today's autograph is another one I needed for my PC as I once again try to add one of every Giants player, just as a reminder.

Darius Muasau has had a lot of opportunities lately with all of the injuries and has racked up some tackles.

Has he made a huge impact? Not really. But, maybe the more time on the field will get more out of him for next year.

I think he should also work on his autograph in the offseason as well.....

Single Card Mail Day:2022 Bowman Chrome University Bowman Invicta Jaxson Dart

News has it that rookie Giants QB Jaxson Dart has played well during offseason workouts so things might finally be looking up for the franchise, but I won't believe it, til I see it.

We just were down this road with Daniel Jones.

But, for now, I will keep adding cards of him on and off just in case. I wouldn't want to miss out on our possible future stud.

This latest is an insert from 2022 Bowman Chrome University. I wished there were 2025 releases out with him in Giants uni, but until then, I have to settle for these. Not too many, but a few.

I already know my bulk wants of his will be when those Giants ones get released.

Let me know what one of your recent mail day adds was in comments!

Single Card Mail Day:2016 Panini Rookies And Stars Freshman Orientation Autograph/Jersey Paul Perkins

Paul Perkins wasn't a Giant for very long, roughly 3 years, and played behind three other running backs when he first got into the league before being named the starter later in 2016.

But, he never quite caught on, got hurt so was cut by the G-Men in 2019.

After that he traveled around the league a few times but never made another run at playing full time again.

However, I still collect him and have some pretty decent cards of him. He is also very affordable as this recent pickup was found for $2 and those are the types of NY Giants adds I will take all day long.

Single Card Mail Day: 2024 Photogenic Brian Burns Autograph

Hey! Long time, no posts.

But Big Blue Cardboard is back!

The first post in a while on here, I am showing off one of my newest Giant autograph additions that helps knock down a want list need.

You can find that updated list, HERE.

Brian Burns was acquired by the Giants last season for a 2nd round and 5th round draft pick which looked like a steal of a deal at the time, but Burns had what felt like a down season with 42 tackles and 8 sacks. Hopefully a stronger 2025 ahead.

Like with any new player in a Giants uniform, I need their autograph in that uniform.

So, I chased one.

When I found out he was included in a Giants uniform in a couple of products, I sought out the coolest one and found that Photogenic was the way to go.

I love the photography and clean design on these. His autograph is solid as well.

With Burns down, I can now turn my attention to players from last year's draft class that I haven't added. With only a Nabers autograph from that class, I have a long way to go but it's all about the thrill of the chase.

Single Card Mail Day:2024 Donruss Signature Marks Deonte Banks

Well, if you were to tell me when the season started that this team in its 100th season would finish 3-14, I would have laughed at you.

Now I am the one being laughed at as a fan.

And the Giants announced this morning they are keeping everyone and no firing of the GM or coach this year.

Welp.

Despite the team's output, I have still been collecting NY Giants cards and adding new autographs to my collection of players I didn't have yet.

I had a Deonte Banks autograph, but not one in a Giants uniform yet which is my preference. This one is from the new Donruss product that came out about a month ago. I was RAK'd this one by @willewillmcards on Twitter/X.

Back of this card is better than most Panini ones.

Thanks again to @willewillmcards!

Hopefully next year Banks will look like he did in his rookie year and not the guy he did this season that seemed to give up on plays. Would be nice also if they drafted or signed a guy to pair with him. That might help. It's all in Daboll and Schoen's hands now.

Single Card Mail Day:2023 Panini Obsidian Lightning Strike Autograph Isaiah Hodgins

It's easy to get caught up in the now when it comes to NFL cards.

Of course, you want the top rookies and players. Of course, you want the newest and hottest rookies for your team. Of course, you want this and that but when the dust settles and you can find a nice team PC card for well under $5, you grab it.

$3 for this Isaiah Hodgins was a bargain for a player who has great skills but plays for a team that lacks in offense. This marks my second autograph of his in a NY Giants uniform and my fifth overall autograph of him.

I am hoping with a revamped offensive line, a healthy Daniel Jones, and maybe some play calling by Daboll himself, that Hodgins will have the same impact he did in his first year as a Giant.

Single Card Mail Day:2021 Chronicles Totally Certified Autograph Ottis Anderson

I know, I know. Another Ottis Anderson. But this one was color team matched, dirt cheap and number match parallel too. I just needed it and now this marks I think the fourth or fifth autograph of his in my collection.

Sometime when I find more time, I will be posting numbers on each player in my collection and how many overall cards, autographs, relics, etc.

I have them all written down, just needs to be typed. Some day.

Single Card Mail Day:2022 Chronicles Paramount Signatures Landon Collins

2022's hero on the Giants autograph for less than $2???! Yup. That's what I scored this Landon Collins for. I wasn't quite sure what Collins was going to bring to the table when the Giants re-signed him back last season, but he brought the fire and the crowd to their feet when he pulled off a pick 6 in a game against the Colts that led to the Giants clinching their playoff spot last season.

It is a play I still watch over and over again. Especially with how this season went.

Single Card Mail Day:2022 Pro Set Power Autograph Kayvon Thibodeaux

Kayvon looked like the player the Giants had hoped for at certain points last season. Then there were still times where you could tell there was some need for growth, but I think, well hope, he is on his way to being the Superstar this defense needs.

So, when an autograph can be acquired of him, I take it. Why not?

Which led to my latest addition which was less than $5. Can't go wrong with that. Yes, it's the Leaf Pro Set brand without logos and it's not a Giants uniform, but I will still take it for the price.

Single Card Mail Day:2023 Mosaic Scripts Tom Coughlin

I don't think there are enough coaching cards in the hobby. I know some will shrug at that, but I know not all of you will.

I would have enjoyed having owned a coach card from every coach who had coached the Giants. Would have made for a fun collection. I do though have an autograph photo from the last three, so I guess that's something.

Occasionally Panini would do some coach cards in their products, mainly Contenders. Last year they did do one with current Giants coach Brian Daboll but the prices went haywire and not something I could afford.

However, I found out this year they included legendary coach Tom Coughlin on their Mosaic checklist.

I had to have it.

I was a fan of Toms even before he became the Giants head coach. I used to like watching the Jaguars and Panthers in the 90's and Tom was a heck of a coach for the Jags leading them to 4 playoff appearances and 2 AFC Championships including a big upset run in 1996 beating the heavily favored Bills and Broncos in only the teams second season of existence.

Tom was fired by the Jaguars after the 2002 season and hired by the Giants in 2004 after taking a year off. He led the Giants to 5 playoff appearances and two Super Bowls and was fired by the Giants after the 2015 season. I kind of wished he had stayed until he was ready to leave.

I am happy to add this autograph to my collection and wished more companies would add coaches to at least one product. Maybe even add the whole team's roster, that would be nice as well. Have it be like a 800-card base set. I would be all over that and I know some of you would be to.

Single Card Mail Day:2014 Spx Autograph Jersey Andre Williams

You ever see a card so cheap you couldn't say no.

However, you felt like you already had it....

Well...I didn't after checking my TCDB of Andre Williams.

This is Andre Williams 2014 Spx rookie autograph.

It just looked so familiar, but now that I have uploaded my collection on TCDB I know I don't have it. Especially since I keep up with it.

The rookie autograph jersey cards that year are numbered to 425.

There are still a lot of Williams cards to go, so I am sure there will be more updates to come.

Single Card Mail Day:2020 Donruss Elite Swagger Dual Jersey

Saquon Barkley had a great 2022 season and I am looking forward to him on the field in 2023, hopefully with a longer-term contract as well.

I don't want to see him running elsewhere.

So, when I found a good-looking relic for a couple bucks, I grabbed it.

I don't know what is so eye appealing about this card, but I really like it.

Thoughts on my latest add and thoughts on Saquon welcomed in comments!

Single Card Mail Day:2018 Absolute Head To Toe Evan Engram

I chase a lot of cards for my Giants collection, any new ones are the main attraction, but some cards I put before others.

Ones I define as the "cool cards." They are sort of the clique jocks/cool kids of my collection group.

I recently picked up one of them for cheap and thought it would be fun to show it off today.
The card is called Head to Toe and it is exactly what it claims to be.

The head, top piece on the card, is a swatch of the player's helmet swatch

And the toe, bottom of the card, is a player's cleat swatch. Not a sock.

Even though Engram isn't a member of the Giants anymore, I still really wanted this card and glad I picked it up. He was also one of the only Giants on the checklist I believe for this type of card.

I have always liked Panini Absolute as it always includes the unique relic cards like this one.

Thoughts on my latest addition to my Giants collection welcomed in comments. I hope to find some other unique cards to add like this soon.

Single Card Mail Day:2005 Bowman Coaching Prospects Autograph Tim Lewis

Tim Lewis was a former 1st round draft pick in 1983 NFL Draft who made it only three seasons in the league before getting into the coaching world.

One of his many coaching stops was for the NY Giants as their defensive coordinator from 2004 to 2006 in which he did a fairly decent job with the unit at the time. Many thought he was Head Coaching material but never got the chance...in the NFL at least.

He did get his one head coach opportunity which was for the Birmingham Iron who played in the AAF League that only lasted one year.

I grabbed this autograph for less than $!0 as a unique addition to my Giants PC. It is the first card I have of a non-head coach autograph.

Thoughts on my latest card welcomed in comments.

Single Card Mail Day:2020 Chronicles Jersey Card Daniel Jones

They call him Danny Dimes because of his throws, I call him Danny affordable when it comes to some of his cards.

When window shopping for other Giants cards, this one popped up on eBay for .55 with one day left. Being a Giants collector and one who seeks out cheap cards, it seemed like one to watch.

So, I did so and won the card for .55 and $1 shipped. I can't complain about a deal like that.

I actually haven't seen one of these relics before I saw this one pop up. I think the relic on the Chronicles base card design works well.

Back of card.

And the back actually has a real back, despite the jersey being player worn once again. I miss the game used days.

Thoughts on my latest add and if you have ever found a card under $1 on eBay before and what it was.

Single Card Mail Day: 2012 Panini Super Bowl 46 Patch

You guys must get sick of seeing me post over and over again about the two recent Giants Super Bowl wins and the cards that I picked up from them.

I am sorry, I won't apologize for that.

Instead, I will show off another new one I added cheaply.

I don't know the full story on these cards, but I believe Panini set up at Super Bowl 46 with special cards and this was one of them.

I am 50/50 on how I feel about manufactured relics, but ones like this I can appreciate. It doesn't involve a player and instead involves an event.

Back of the card. It doesn't list the winner and any game details, that's how you know it was given out prior to the game.

Thoughts on this card, that game welcomed in comments.

Single Card Mail Day: 2021 Obsidian Volcanic Patch Kadarius Toney

I have to admit, it's Monday morning, and I am smiling away.

Why?

Well, my NY Giants came back from double digits with practice squad wideouts, three of the four top corners out, a banged up QB and RB, and other injured players to beat the Green Bay Packers 27-22 in the London Game.

This game came down to good coaching and grit. This Giants team has a fight in them that I haven't seen in so, so long. It's a beautiful thing.

My latest pickup is of a player I am hoping that can only add to this team, if he can ever get on the field healthy.

Kadarius Toney was a first-round pick by the Giants last year and has spent most of his time hurt. At this point, I don't see him on the roster next year.

But, they could surprise me, like the team has this year.
I picked up this patch card not because it was Toney, but because it was a nice-looking patch card for $1.75.

Thoughts on the Giants, your NFL team and this card welcomed in comments!

Single Card Mail Day:2008 Topps Chrome Blue Refractor David Tyree

What can I say, I am addicted to showing off and adding Super Bowl cards from Super Bowls 42 and 46.

I have actually found myself liking one card in particular.

The 2008 Super Bowl 42 subset card of David Tyree shows off the same image we have seen over and over and over again.

But Topps Chrome just makes it look better. Especially when it's a team color refractor match.

Here is the back of the card.

I have actually made somewhat of a small run on these. I have the base, base refractor, bronze and now this one. I would love to add the Xfactor on eBay next.

Thoughts on my latest add and Topps Chrome refractors welcomed in comments.

Single Card Mail Day:2021 Chronicles Panini Kadarius Toney

I keep waiting for the Giants to feature Kadarius Toney more in their playbook, but apparently something was up this past Sunday as Toney spent most of it on the bench vs the Titans.

He did get a few plays in and was very impactful when he was in the game. The guy has Barry Sander-esque moves where he can cutback all over the field making tacklers miss left and right.

I started chasing Toney cards early last year and was building quite the collection before he started getting hit by the injury bug and I started to hesitate on building a PC of him.

So I stopped.

However, that doesn't mean I completely stopped adding to the collection when I find them cheap. My latest addition is the perfect example of cheap from a cheap product.

Toney has multiple cards in the 2021 Chronicles set and this one if the Panini base from it. I know a lot don't like this product much, but I like the photography on some of the cards like this one.

Card back with what appears to be updated stats from 2021. I didn't notice that until now.

Thoughts on my latest addition welcomed in comments.
