Given A Heads Up

Being the last post of the year, I wanted to make it a good card to end with.

A buddy of mine on Twitter owns a copy of today's card and knew that I had wanted one for myself, so he had been keeping an eye out for cheaper ones not listed on eBay.

When a copy popped up recently, he sent me a link the link to eBay and I spent a week watching it. I had saved my final $10 on a gift card to eBay and I was hoping it was going to be less than that.

The week went by and I put my bid in....and landed the card for ,99 which is cool for a RARE CASE HIT!!

This is a 2015 Topps Presidential Celebrations card of Coach Tom Coughlin alongside President George Bush. These 14 cards features Super Bowl winning coaches at the White House.

The back just gives the details of the day.

I noticed when looking up the checklist that the Giants have a second card for Super Bowl 46 with President Obama that I will definitely need to find.

Thanks again to my buddy Chris for the heads up on this one.

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

Eli's Cardboard:2022 Prestige Any Given Sunday Holofoil Xtra Points /25

Today's latest Eli addition is pretty obvious on why I added it.

It features the GOAT of all time Super Bowls in Super Bowl 42.

I have said this so many times on here and I will beat that drum again. I will continue to add as many new Giants Super Bowl cards as I can from Super Bowl 42 and Super Bowl 46.

Those games are just that important to me.

I had considered at one point chasing the rainbow of today's card with this one and the base version done, until something went wrong with the 1/1 that I came so close to owning. More on that another time.

Thoughts on today's card welcomed in comments.

Single Card Mail Day:2008 Topps Chrome Blue Refractor David Tyree

What can I say, I am addicted to showing off and adding Super Bowl cards from Super Bowls 42 and 46.

I have actually found myself liking one card in particular.

The 2008 Super Bowl 42 subset card of David Tyree shows off the same image we have seen over and over and over again.

But Topps Chrome just makes it look better. Especially when it's a team color refractor match.

Here is the back of the card.

I have actually made somewhat of a small run on these. I have the base, base refractor, bronze and now this one. I would love to add the Xfactor on eBay next.

Thoughts on my latest add and Topps Chrome refractors welcomed in comments.

Taking As Many As I Can

Do you have a card that you don't care how many copies of it you get? Your answer would surprise me if you didn't.

Other than taking in as many copies of the 1990 Score and Topps Rodney Hampton rookie cards I can, I am quite fond of anything that features the NY Giants and Super Bowl 42.

Especially a photograph that depicts the greatest play in Super Bowl history.

The acrobatic helmet catch has got to be the greatest catch in the history of football. If you just think about some special team guy who rarely saw a ball thrown his way, go up against a guy who should be in the Hall Of Fame and being able to keep the ball caught against his helmet with that caliber type of player pulling all he can to strip the ball and finishing the catch.

That's incredible.

Super Bowl 42 was incredible.

Give me as many cards like this you want. I won't turn any away.

Thanks for my latest one @ShaneSalmonson.

Let me know in comments any cards you have multiple copies of and why.
