It's NFC Divisional weekend and I am just going to enjoy the games.
It's tough though without having an actual team to cheer on, but maybe someday the Giants will be relevant again.
That may take a few more years, but if they can get back to winning football again, I will be patient.
In the meantime, I will reminisce and enjoy looking at my collection of cards that continues to grow thanks to readers and friends.
One of my mail days around Christmas time from Oren helped with that.
Nice patch /25 of my favorite Giants Tight End of all time. Sorry Bavaro, for me, it's Shockey.
Next card was another Shockey relic. I didn't have either one and this one is pretty nice with the die-cut and shine.
Breaking outside of the typical relic is football swatches. We don't get enough "other" relics today.
Mario Manningham who doesn't get enough love in Giants history, but I will never forget his catch in Super Bowl 46.
And we end the mail day with a new Ottis Anderson autograph. Even though I wasn't watching football when Anderson played, I have gone back and watched some older games where he played. I really liked his game and feel he is a very underrated player.
Thanks to Oren for the new additions!
I hope all of you have a great day of football!
I was lucky enough to meet Otis Anderson once when he signed autographs at an ice cream shop in New York City. I had no idea who he was, but my friend was going so I went too and he signed some cards and a photo. Was really nice and took the time to chat with everyone. Happy to help you get his auto into your collection now too. Go Big Blue!
